The movie is about a TV anchor (?) that goes nuts and tells all of America that they need to stand up, and take back their freedom. It is interesting that he talks about how people watch too much TV, the air is unfit to breathe, inflation is a problem, how big corporations owning the TV networks is just bad news for Americans…

Interesting that just about every single person who stood to make a major change was killed. Lennon, King Jr., Kennedy, etc etc.

The part that really gets me is when he says ‘dope you up with Religion, Sex and TV.’ This is NO joke, Lennon was ahead of his time…

This new show coming out on USA looks different. The premise is that a CIA agent is ‘burned’, meaning they cut off his money and basically treat him like he never existed. I am curious to find out how they start the story, as they only say he is fired, and has to get to Miami to find out why he has been ‘burned’. How will they explain why he was fired, and how do they do it? Hopefully they do something different. This is why I should be writing TV shows. If somehow I was hired as the writer of USA Network’s Burn Notice, this is how I would set up the show.
“The main character, Michael Westen, is in China on a mission. He is the middle of China far away from civilization. He is to assassinate a Chinese businessman who is in hiding. Just as he finds his target and lines up to shoot the businessman… his phone rings. Which is odd, as he turned it off. He opens it.. the phone IS off. Somehow it is still ringing. People start to look around, Westen is hiding in a building, and they hear the ringing. He answers the phone, and someone says: “you are burned”
Westen knows what this means. What he doesn’t know is the CIA has multiple agents positioned around him, waiting to kill him. In the tradition of Adam West’s Batman he BANG! POW! BOOM!s and Westen beats the agents, and gets away.
Now he is in the middle of China, with no money, few supplies, and he has to get to Miami, his hometown, to find out why he was fired. Hmm… why would he be fired? If it were me, I would make the reason that he was getting to close to a national conspiracy, where the government was going to stage a huge terrorist attack, to get American’s to give up their freedom’s and rights, and eventually turn the USA into a facist dictatorship. Westin has to find this out, and then foil the plot! BAM! POW! SHAZAM! (I love Adam West as Batman.)
