Anyone know the joke in the Breakfast Club when Judd Nelson falls through the ceiling? I can never find the punchline to that joke!

I stole this from a friend.

I feel sorry for Kellie Pickler. She didn’t know France was a country.

It gets worse.

Even if you didn’t know what country Budapest is the capital of, to not even have heard of the countries… she has never heard of Hungary? She thought Europe was a COUNTRY?

No one should graduate high school thinking Europe is a country.

Pedophilia may be the result of faulty brain wiring.

Breathalyzers determined not to be accurate way to measure BAC- testers often show the person is above the limit when they are not.

BreathalyzerAdmittedly, I haven’t researched the claims this site makes, but if its true…

The dirty secret behind breathalyzers.

I don’t even look hard for this stuff anymore. I trip over it. It’s everywhere.

Here is the quick and dirty. In 1985 they determined Breathalyzers to be accurate. In 1990 a case was in court, and the doctor, Dr. Dubowski, who published the study used in 1985 to prove Breathalyzers to be accurate testified that in 2.3% of the cases, Breathalyzers would over report the BAC of a test subject. This was not stated in the 1985 study.

One witness, Dr. Simpson, a physical Chemist, stated there could be ways a Breathalyzer would be inaccurate. The court sided with the original study.

When Simpson researched Dubowski’s data, he found him to be a decimal place off! it was 23%

“Dr. Simpson then published his findings in a respected scientific journal. They were never rebutted and Dr. Dubowski remained silent on the subject.”

“Attorneys across the country have taken note of the breathalyzer’s failings. This has lead authorities to resort to more invasive measures, including letting officers perform blood draws with very little training.”

Moral of the story. Ask for a professional to draw your blood. Don’t take the Breathalyzer.

so many stories… here are my top 5 news stories from the past few weeks.

It is impossible to keep up with what is going on in the world. Impossible. I must have bookmarked 50 articles in the past few weeks, and MAYBE read 20 of them. Here are the best 5:

Japan starts buying oil from Iran in Yen, not dollars.

Why is this important? The US dollar is theoretically backed by Oil. In the 1970s, the US left the gold standard and made a deal with OPEC that stated the US would protect OPEC nations if they promised to sell oil in Dollars only. This means all nations need dollars in their reserves. This is good for us.

In January of 01, Saddam Hussein began selling oil in Euros. Iran has been talking about it for awhile, now they are officially doing it. Hmm… what is the country we are fighting in again? Which one are we talking about as the latest ‘axis of evil’? :)

Steep decline in oil production brings risk of war and unrest, says new study.

Feeling brave? Google for ‘peak oil’. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

The arguments used by creationists hold no water. Evolution is called a theory, but its about as theoretical as Gravity is…

The Mark of The Beast In An Unfree Society

Did you know you will soon have to get permission from the TSA to leave the US? Eventually you will need permission to fly at all. One of the signs of a facist society is restricted movement. “Papers please” is how we all heard it in old movies about the USSR or Nazi Germany. Recently a few activists wanted to go to Canada to protest, but were denied entrance to Canada from the US. “Sorry you are on the Terrorist Watch List in the US.” You can’t get off of that list. So our government effectively imprisoned those activists in our country. This is not the United States I grew up in…

The Surprising Truth Behind the Construction of the Great Pyramids

Spoiler Alert:

They were *poured*, or cast, like concrete, not chiseled out of real stone. Amazing.
